Holiday Open House...in the works!

Hello fellow moms in business~and more! We are working on our fall holiday open house! Last year, The Baton Rouge Smock Market hosted it. Because of the overwhelming response of small businesses wanting to join us, Baton Rouge Favorite Finds was created! So, it will be our first semi-annual open house! We will do one near Easter and Thanksgiving for the Holiday seasons. I am trying to nail down dates and locations this week. I had originally wanted to do it in early October, but with the selling of our house and being "homeless" for a month, it was just not gonna work! So, we are looking at the week before Thanksgiving. Plenty of time for Christmas Shopping! We are putting together a market application and are looking for vendors. We want to make sure that we have a variety of businesses joining us in an effort to keep competition between the businesses down. Therefore, it will be on a first come, first served basis. So be thinking about if you would like to join us and if that would be a good time for your business to participate. I will also put an ad in the November issue of BR Parent's Magazine and have an opportunity for you to buy a spot and be a featured vendor. More details to follow~ NOTE: YOUR BR PARENT'S AD RESERVATION WILL BE DUE OCTOBER 10TH! In the next month, we will have our website advertising packages available for you to reserve an advertising spot. Our website will be unveiled for the holidays on December 1, 2010!

A local mom and graphic designer, Chanler Holden, has illustrated them and a Baton Rouge native, John Mese and his wife, Dawn, wrote them. They are adorable! Check out the books and get them all, you will love the Louisiana characters and want to pass the word to your friends! Stars like Brooke Shields and Matthew McConaughey read them to their kids! Hello Friends! I am just posting to let you know that I am still alive! We are working on details for a Favorite Finds advertising website to give small businesses an avenue to advertise affordably! We are so excited with our ideas and can't wait to share with you! In the middle of all this, we sold our house and have been house hunting at the same time! So, needless to say we are quite busy. Hopefully it will slow down soon and we can launch our new site! So, stay put and we will keep you updated! Thanks for sharing your favorite finds! Amazing Interior Design Find!

I just have to share with you an amazing find that I stumbled upon this morning! While visiting with my mom earlier, her neighbor came over to help her with picking out fabric for her new couch. She began to tell me that she does interior design and showed me some of her work. Wow! I LOVED her designs! They were so fresh and clean. Her taste is modern with a twist of traditional~shabby chic. The best part is~ She is affordable! She was saying how she loves designing but that she doesn't really know how to market herself and let others know. Well, I told her that she was in the right place at the right time. I shared with her about Favorite Finds and how we could help!
